“I have had the opportunity to co-own CDM (Crystal Digital Media) with my brother and operate a successful company alongside him. Chris Funderburg was the CEO of CDM and had a great vision for the company. We both felt that there were several companies doing video installation and production with the wrong philosophy.  Their strategies often involved untrained or lazy labor, cheap equipment and charging an enormous amount of money for an ill-conceived project. With CDM we have set out to use the latest in digital technology to capture, edit and produce great video in the Washington D.C. area.  Whether it was a wedding or a corporate infomercial we would treat each client with the same high-end digital quality that they deserved. The company lasted for a brief time but made a huge impact on the D.C. area.  While we were constantly booked with clients the company became too much to handle for just the two of us. In 2004, we made the tough design to close CDM to the public and centered its resources around helping ministries with emerging A/V (Audio/Video) technologies to reach people. My hope was to, someday, re-open the CDM doors again.  My brother Chris now has five children and we live eleven hundred miles apart.

After sixteen years of helping to grow businesses, homes, offices, churches, ministries, and recording studios with A/V technology, I have re-opened CDM in a hope of having the same impact in the Twin Cities as we did in the D.C. area.  Bringing my years of professional experience and the same high-end digital quality to the people who want it.  A lot of the landscape in this industry has changed but with similar problems. Today’s strategies involve low quality at a high price coupled with little understanding of the client’s needs or requirements.  I have had to change the direction of the company to include other aspects of AV technology.  CDM has now been broken down into three main areas that I feel were needed in and around the twin cities. All under the same mission of providing the highest quality possible with the highest customer service.”
